St Patrick's Church
We spent one night in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on our way home from Winnipeg. Before resuming our drive to Pincher Creek, we wanted to visit St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
Constructed between 1912 and 1914, the church is a prominent Medicine Hat landmark. The 170 foot twin spires are the first thing that visitors notice. Once inside, visitors immediately notice the pointed-arch windows with stained glass. The stained glass is simply beautiful.
The church's caretakers would appear to have done their job well. In 1990, the church was designated as a National Historic Site.
